In order to hurry proceedings along, two Botafogo players carried their injured teammate off the pitch at the end of a game against Sport Recife.

Botafogo lost 1-0 at home to Sport Recife in a Brasileirão clash at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos on Friday night.

With the hosts still trailing in added time as the second half drew to a close, there was not a moment to spare when Sousa went down injured.

So 22-year-old goalkeeper Diego Terra Loureiro called on a colleague to assist him in practically dragging the central defender onto the sidelines in order for play to resume quickly.
