VIDEO: Birmingham City’s Che Adams visits pitch invader in back of police van after game

Former teammate arrested after added-time goal.

After a 3-1 win at Rotherham, Birmingham City striker Che Adams went to meet a pitch invader who was still locked up in the back of a police van.

The visitors gained a vital three points to secure their Championship status while nudging Rotherham further towards relegation at the New York Stadium on Easter Monday.

After Swedish substitute Kerim Mrabti scored Birmingham’s third goal in the 93rd minute, one travelling fan managed to get onto the pitch to celebrate with the team.

The man was promptly ejected from the stadium and arrested but, following the final whistle, Adams apparently expressed a desire to meet.

The player can be seen being escorted to the police vehicle before a quick chat and a photo is facilitated.

The pair are said to have previously played together at Ilkeston.
