Greater Manchester club Atherton Collieries inadvertently recorded some choice supporter commentary during Tuesday night’s 2-4 defeat to Warrington Town.

The fan of the Northern Premier League Premier Division side can be heard optimistically talking up their chances of a comeback.

However, soon afterwards he exclaims “f***ing hellfire” as those hopes are quashed.

It was the Colls’ first match at their Alder Street home since winning promotion as last season’s Division One champions.

Warrington are also newly promoted, having won the 2018-19 playoffs.
