Accrington Stanley goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov was sent off for throwing a bottle into the crowd during Tuesday’s 1-2 defeat to Blackpool at the Wham Stadium.

With the score tied at 1-1 going into the final ten minutes, Accrington conceded a penalty which was scored by former Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing.

'If the bottle doesn't get thrown we finish the game with 11 men and who knows what the score would have been.'

As the travelling Seasiders fans behind the goal celebrated going in front, Evmitov picked up a bottle that had been thrown onto the pitch and hurled it angrily into the stand.

Referee Ross Joyce gave him his marching orders for the show of petulance, with Evmitov protesting in vain against the decision.
