Swansea City’s Bersant Celina slipped as he was taking a penalty in Wednesday’s Championship clash at West Bromwich Albion and made a total hash of it.
The Kosovan midfielder had the chance to equalise for the Swans at the Hawthorns after Chris Brunt had given West Brom the lead.

However, he lost his footing while attempting to take the spot kick and the ball bobbled harmlessly to his side before a defender cleared it.
Celina was defiant in the wake of his gaffe, taking to Instagram in the aftermath of the 3-0 defeat to apologise to fans and hit back critics.

He wrote:
First of all thanks to travelling fans yesterday. Secondly my penalty. Was it funny? Yes. 😂 Could I control the situation? No. I slipped.
Do I feel like I cost the team? Yes I’m sorry but I know my team has my back whatever happens.
Last thing is to some people that think this would somehow break me down. You are truly mistaken. Thanks for the motivation.
