A self-labelled “righteous” Spurs fan has succeeded in his attempt to have so-called selfie sticks banned at White Hart Lane after complaining to the club.
It appears the supporter, known only as Liam, had become increasingly frustrated by the constant appearance of the devices at the Tottenham stadium – tweeting irritatedly when one was spotted at a match.
Then, shortly after Christmas, it all got too much when he noticed “not one but two selfie sticks” in the Park Lane Stand:

Will be e-mailing my complaint later

I have e-mailed my complaint to Spurs about selfie sticks. Righteous bastard

But just a week later, an impressive response over the festive period, Jake from the Spurs “customer care team” notified him that:
Upon review, “selfie sticks” have now been banned from entering White Hart Lane.
Liam claimed “victory” and tweeted the emailed response from the club in full.
