See a photo of the moment when Robbie Fowler gives David Seaman a piggyback in Singapore while apparently on holiday with Peter Reid.
It looks like the footballing old boys are having a great night out on the south-east Asian island.
They were having such a good time, Robbie Fowler decided to hoik David Seaman on to his shoulders – much to the evident amusement of the former England goalkeeper.
A grinning Peter Reid can be seen in the background.
We don’t know what they’re up to, apart from the less-than-insightful piggyback picture that Seaman posted on Twitter alongside the caption:
Ref, i never touched him!!!!!
… in an apparent reference to a penalty awarded to Fowler while he was playing for Liverpool against Arsenal in the Premier League during the 1996/97 title race.
A sporting Robbie Fowler tried to explain to the referee at the time that Seaman hadn’t fouled or even made contact with him, but the official wouldn’t listen.
Seaman did manage to save the penalty, but a certain Jason McAteer tucked in the rebound.
See a video of the penalty incident below:
This was such a good reconstruction that Seaman tweeted it twice – from both players’ perspectives:
