Fans Mike Deane and his wife Amy were lucky enough to bump into the Liverpool team walking around the city before their clash with West Ham on Amy’s birthday, but their photo with the team went wrong after everyone’s heads were cut off.

The players and staff reportedly sung Happy Birthday to her before posing for a celebratory snap.

But a smiling Mike, who apparently also took the picture, is the only one who is completely within the frame despite Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi, Dejan Lovren and more said to all be there.

Mike, who said he has now had the infamous team photo framed, told the Liverpool Echo:

It would have been perfect with the entire squad and the Anglican Cathedral in the background.

Initially I was quite upset but we can see the funny side of it now.

It was just a surreal moment to see the whole squad there.

Then before we knew it Jurgen initiated everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Amy.

We all know he’s a special person who is very personable with everyone.

The players were all so great and really happy to join in.

I just thought it was wonderful.

Seeing the reaction of everyone on social media is making us feel a lot better.

We will definitely look back on it and laugh, you just couldn’t make it up.
