Joey Barton may be a deeply disillusioned Queens Park Rangers squad member.
Now the season has kicked off, the full length of his ban is starting to become apparent, his possibility of an instant reprieve in the form of a move to Marseille appears in doubt (though Willie Mackay insists it could still happen) and he is not impressed with the continuous punishment imposed upon him by his parent club.
Joey has made his feelings very clear on Twitter… as usual:
Not gonna cry about it. Maybe it’s just time to move on. I enjoyed parts of last season and believe I am more than capable of playing this

Hopefully, the QPR fans will accept that. I offered to resign from the club/contract when I got my ban.

Then, I have my shirt number taken without any notice. Then, I read I wouldn’t of been signed had the current regime been in place.

I accepted all this. I never once spoke out of turn or angrily towards anybody. I am a man. I can only take so much. I want to leave.

I hope to move on with my career, with my life. If that is in France, so be it. I don’t want to be disrespectful to QPR but enough is enough

Doesn’t look like this Marseille thing is gonna happen now. ‘Whatever doesn’t kill you make you stronger’

Why can’t things just be simple…

Maybe this is time to dumb down and be dishonest. It seems to take you a long way in this game…
