Infamous tweeter and Queens Park Rangers angry man Joey Barton has launched a new personal website in an effort to further increase his online profile. The website features Have Your Say, QPR, In The Media and Blog sections, as well as inviting users to share in the player’s sage advice within the Joey On… section.
JoeyBarton.com developers First 10 Digital apparently, “took the time to really understand him [Barton] as a person, rather than the panto villain he’s so often portrayed as.”
The headline on JoeyBarton.com reads:
Depending who you listen to…
I’m a footballer, ex-con, ranting anti-celebrity, “Football’s Philosopher King”, loving dad and violent thug all rolled into one.
With the following enticing intro:
Whatever your label for me, I’m Joey Barton and this is my site.
This is my place to share what I think and hear what you think back. I want to shine a light on some of the things that matter most to me and open up a bit of debate. You never know, together we might even help change something.
If you’re a troll with no purpose or value beyond casual 4-letter abuse, join a few bedfellows on Twitter, it’s easier for you there – go knock yourself out.
Joey Barton is currently training with Fleetwood Town as they prepare for their first season in the Football League and rumours are abound that the player will be loaned to the League Two club in a shameless attempt to speed up Barton’s twelve game ban.
At least Fleetwood Town’s psychotherapist is looking forward to working with new boy Barton and will now have something to write home about.
So come on, check out Joey Barton’s new website now at joeybarton.com and let’s “help change something”.
