I’m mad that we never gave him a chance as a striker this season despite Torres’ continous failings, if he flourishes in Scouseland it will be even worse.
Alec_Cobas…
I had high hopes for him, but he has faded a lot in 2012 and didn’t perform in a entire year. With his contract nearing the end, I would get this money for sure. Big big ego.

If he goes to Liverpool, they will need three balls in game. One for Sturridge, one for Suarez and one for the rest of the team.

If he goes, even if it is to the hated Liverpool, I hope he does well for himself and is appreciated – he deserved way better than he got at our place, in my view.
Thanks and good luck Danny.

I think he will come good at Liverpool. And this fact won´t be good for us, because they´re our rivals.
With Torres going too, we will have a brand news striker force up front next season, hopefully a good one.

Anyone remember how hard the club worked to get Sturridge here? Now a few years later we’re letting him go? Dear oh dear oh dear! What is the club doing? We all have opinions on Sturridge, but I don’t want him to go at all! He’s a very talented guy, with some consistent playing time and consistency with that playing time, he could of been a seriously good player for us. Massively disappointing. But, I guess this is safe to say a striker or two must be coming in to the club in January, if we are letting him go?
And, is this Sturridge forcing a move, or Chelsea? Or a bit of both? Can’t quite believe we’d let him go, he’s only like 22 or 23!!!!!! Ridiculous.

Well I will be dissapointed to see him go, especially to the scousers. I can see him doing well if given a run in a side, it wouldn’t suprise me if he went there and did really well.
He has been unfortunate that this season he has been overlooked much of the time and also injured. Doesn’t feel like he has had any chance to prove himself in this current side. Young and English too, real shame.

Really upset about this, I know he hasn’t been great for us lately but it’s obvious he can do the business when he concentrates and I really feel he’ll succeed at Liverpool. Gutted he’s going there of all places, that’s a team beautifully set up for him. I guess I wish him well :(

Sad to see him go, but 12 million pounds is a great deal for someone who is out of contract in 6 months.
Graham MacAree…
Made a profit on him and he scored some important goals
There’s very little not to like about his time with us
P_Osgood-9…
It’s just a shame he never did the business for us, other than a few months with AVB
He has obvious talent, I’ll be quite disappointed if he’ll start banging in the goals for Liverpool
ShaunCFC…
I must admit, Suarez and Sturridge interchanging would be quite tasty.
WE MUST TRUMP THEM WITH FALCAO
Roberta-lyn…
Neither will pass to one another ;)
Matthew Colvin…
I wish him all the best, and hope he does well (except against us). If he irons out his flaws he has all the makings to become a great player.
Arthur Foxache…
Glad to see the back of him. SWP Mk II
You can’t have a striker with as poor a touch and gobsmackingly poor decision making as Sturridge. Well, you can, but then you’re looking at a Championship level player and we already have one of those ‘leading the line’. Good try Dan. You had your run of games under AVB and did ok, but I think at Liverpool you have found your level. Say hello to Joe Messi from us, cheers.
