VAR has awarded Rochdale a controversial FA Cup win at Tottenham Hotspur, despite the League One side only scoring one goal to the hosts’ six.
Spurs were left seething after running rampant in the second half, only to see the entire match referred to the video assistant referee system.
After initially awarding the match to Borussia Mönchengladbach, VAR was then consulted a second time and indicated a victory for Rochdale.
Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino said he was livid.
He said: “I’m livid.
“We’ve gone out there, scored six goals, only conceded one – and yet we’re out of the competition.
“I know it’s early days for VAR, but for absolute f***’s sake.”
When pressed for comment, the VAR system spluttered mechanically and narrated Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven in Swahili.
FA chairman Greg Clarke said: “Er, it shouldn’t be doing that.
“Maybe someone spilled tea on it.”
