300-mile journey not so funny all of a sudden.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is said to be “considerably less amused” about the distance between Merseyside and Plymouth than he was earlier today.

According to a source, Klopp now fails to see the funny side of the 300-mile journey that awaits him and his side after Plymouth Argyle held them to a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup 3rd round at Anfield.

This comes in stark contrast to his pre-match briefings, replete as they were with mirthful references to how far the League 2 side had to come for what was sure to be a special day.

And special it was, the Pilgrims holding out for a lucrative replay against a youthful Reds starting XI, leaving Klopp clutching at travel arrangements.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, a source close to where we happened to be standing at the time confirmed what everyone knew.

They said: “He’s pissed off about laughing at it, to be fair.

“It’s safe to say that particular chortle has wound up boomeranging on him somewhat.

“I know Plymouth’s not in Australia but it might as ****ing well be.”
