National pride restored as England dismantle Malta in 2-0 drubbing

Completely blow away overwhelmed opponents.

Maltesers, as thrashed 2-0 by England
THRASHED: Maltesers

England demolished Malta 2-0 to maintain their winning start to World Cup 2018 qualification under Gareth Southgate and previously Sam Allardyce.

Goals from Daniel Sturridge and Dele Alli completely blew away an overwhelmed Maltese side as national pride was restored.

It’s the latest in a series of two outstanding victories, the other courtesy of Adam Lallana’s scintillating last-gasp winner against ten-man Slovakia.

The display should come as a boost to the nation’s confidence following a damaging few months politically and also football-wise at Euro 2016.

Maltesers have long been the lighter way to enjoy chocolate, and England certainly made light work of them here.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, Sam Allardyce asked if we were taking the piss.

He roared: “To be honest I forgot I’d even agreed to this interview. It was a month ago.

“In future just assume the interview’s off if the manager’s no longer in the job. Yeah?

“Now piss off.”
