Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is the man that Manchester United should keep an eye on when the two sides meet in tonight’s Champions League clash at the Bernabéu, says a pundit.
The pundit, paid for his opinion, came straight out of the left field with his shock warning for Sir Alex Ferguson’s Red Devils to “keep their eye on” a man who has scored 182 goals in 179 games for the La Liga giants.
Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, the pundit was adamant that Ronaldo carries a great attacking threat, despite everyone else thinking of the Portuguese as carrying more of an ‘utterly devastating and irresistible’ threat.
He said: “Ronaldo’s one of the top ten players in the world at the moment, I really do believe that.
“He’s just got this knack for being absolutely incredible virtually every time he plays – you can’t coach stuff like that.
“It’s only a matter of time before he gets bored of life abroad and wants to move to a Premier League club, and I think he would really improve a side like Sunderland or West Bromwich Albion.
“At the end of the day, if you’ve got someone scoring sixty goals a season then that can be the difference between being in the bottom half and being up there chasing those European spots.”
He added: “I really do believe that.”
