Arsenal have won the Mesut Özil cup after beating FC Transfer Window 42.4m nil on penalties.

The German, Turkish, will be paraded around north London on an open-top bus tour scheduled to last until approximately “the next time Arsenal suffer an embarrassing defeat”.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, a Gunners fan from Islington asked if we thought people would notice that he’d merely added the suffix ‘-standing’ to a banner that had read ‘Wenger out’.

He said: “I mean, it’s a bit squashed in – do you think it’s legible?

“I’d hate my fellow supporters to think that I’d wanted to see Arsène sacked just a week ago.

“I mean, I did, but it doesn’t look good, does it?

“Kind of makes me look like a bit of a spiv.”

He added: “You won’t tell anyone, right?”
