Despite a sending off, there was a united atmosphere for Tuesday night’s international friendly at the Stade de France and here are the best jokes from France 3-2 England.

Following the terrorist attacks in the UK over the past few weeks, there was a chorus of Oasis hit Don’t Look Back In Anger followed by a rousing rendition of both national anthems prior to the game.

Gareth Southgate’s side succumbed to their French hosts who were reduced to ten men when defender Raphaël Varane was sent off after a controversial intervention from the video assistant referee.

With much attention on our Prime Minister in attendance and the recent general election, these were the best jokes from France 3-2 England in Paris:

Theresa May wasn't singing Don't Look Back in Anger there, if that was Corbyn he would've been on someone's shoulders belting it out #FRAENG

England should send Corbyn on as a sub. They'll still lose but not as badly as expected.

— Sam Freedman (@Samfr) June 13, 2017

BREAKING NEWS: Corbyn has just issued a statement congratulating England on beating France after a 3-2 defeat in Paris @Iromg

Southgate's England side plays a lot like Southgate's England U21 side, who played a lot like Southgate's Middlesbrough side.

All shite.
