After rumours of potential superstar signings, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has moved for QPR defender Steven Caulker who has had his loan deal at Southampton cancelled.
With a central defence injury crisis at the club, Klopp labelled Caulker, who has not made a first-team appearance since a League cup tie with Liverpool on December 2nd, the “best solution” for the club:
We want to press the opponent and so they have to play long balls.
If they play long balls, you need people in the last line who can help you with headers and we’ve found it with Steven Caulker.
This is a selection of the best jokes as Liverpool sign Steven Caulker on loan:

Having to settle for Caulker in stead of Subotic, is like when Harry Potter gave up on Cho Chang and got on with Ginny.

It's only when he arrives at Melwood for his medical that Caulker will realise he's at LFC to be a hamstring donor not a player

Steven Caulker has to be the most uninspiring addition to a line up since Kanye West headlined Glastonbury.
