These were the best jokes as 20,000 FC Köln fans descended on Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, despite the German side only having a 3,000 allocation.
Kick-off was delayed by an hour as the Gunners’ opening Europa League fixture was marred by ugly scenes outside the ground, with many away supporters attempting to sneak in.
Despite going in 0-1 down at half time, Arsenal eventually triumphed 3-1 thanks to goals from Sead Kolašinac, Alexis Sánchez and Héctor Bellerín.
But the main talking point was the hordes of FC Köln fans whose behaviour almost led to the fixture getting called off.
At least there were these jokes:

Turns out the solution to the Emirates' atmosphere problems is to simply get the away fans drunk and allow them a 75% allocation.
