Right, let’s begin…
Edin Džeko, Manchester City – £8.5m
Two goals in the 4-2 win at Hull City got him off the mark for the season, and such is the Bosnian’s tendency for hot streaks that we wouldn’t be surprised to see him do similar at Aston Villa this weekend.
Clearly his strike partner Sergio Agüero would also be a great pick, but he’ll set you back over £12m of your fantasy budget.
Diafra Sakho, West Ham United – £5.6m
The Senegalese striker has two goals and an assist from his first three games for the Hammers, so there’s every chance of him continuing his productivity at home to a Queens Park Rangers side that has lost all three away games thus far.
Fraizer Campbell, Crystal Palace – £5.4m
Another with consecutive goals to his name, Campbell could be key to what we suspect might be a surprisingly high-scoring game at Hull this weekend.
With two goals from his first three games, Hull’s £6.9m Abel Hernández could also be a good shout but if the Eagles display the kind of counter-attacking that earned them a 3-2 win at Everton then our money’s on Campbell.
Graziano Pellè, Southampton – £7.6m
Did you see that goal against QPR? Good grief. Away to Tottenham Hotspur this weekend is no easy fixture but Pellè’s showing enough to suggest that he’ll be a useful acquisition in the long run.
And obviously Diego Costa. Good luck and happy selecting!
