Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 36 captains round-up

This Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 36 captains round-up is here to help you select a skipper and a handy vice-captain.

Recommended selections this week include players from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Leicester City, Bournemouth and Southampton.

1. Alexis Sánchez, ARS (midfielder)

This one’s a tough call – he’s not exactly in top form, but Arsenal do have a Double Gameweek. Mind you, it’s a tough Double Gameweek with fixtures at home to Man Utd and away to Southampton.

It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that others score more highly in one game than Sánchez does in two, but he does have a habit of exploding back into life just when you think he’s knackered.

All things considered, the top-scoring player in the FPL probably ought to be captained when he has a Double Gameweek and his rival candidates don’t.

2. Harry Kane, TOT (forward)

His record in London derbies is pretty awesome, so Friday night’s fixture at West Ham provides ample opportunity for another Kane haul.

3. Eden Hazard/Diego Costa, CHE (midfielder/forward)

Champions-elect Chelsea have been scoring freely of late, with a home game against relegation-bound Middlesbrough up next.

4. Jamie Vardy, LEI (forward)

Plays at home to a Watford side with little to aim for other than a top-half finish.

5. Josh King, BOU (midfielder)

He’s scored 13 goals in 17 games ahead of the home game against out-of-form Stoke.

6. Manolo Gabbiadini, SOU (forward)

If your budget won’t stretch to a Sánchez, bear in mind that Southampton are also set for back-to-back Double Gameweeks. This one comprises of fixtures away to Liverpool and home to Arsenal, so be warned the going could be tough.

Good luck and happy selecting!
