Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 16 forwards round-up

Our Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 16 forwards round-up is here to help propel you to fantasy football fame and fortune!

Although our tips are based on FPL player prices, the principles should apply pretty much across the board – so even if your fantasy football game of choice exists at Sky Sports, the Telegraph, the Mirror or anywhere else for that matter, do read on.

Now dig our striker recommendations…

Robin van Persie, Manchester United – £12.4m

Coming into form just as Sergio Agüero gets injured, van Persie’s two goals and fine all-round display in Monday night’s 2-1 win at Southampton convinced us to bring the Dutchman in for the Argentine.

Or you could save £2m and go for Wayne Rooney instead. Not a bad shout either, really.

Andy Carroll and/or Diafra Sakho, West Ham United – £6.9m/£5.7m

These two ran riot in West Ham’s 3-1 win over Swansea, racking up three goals, an assist and two hit posts between them.

Sunderland’s experienced centre-halfs could present them with a sterner test this weekend, but the early signs are good for West Ham’s new strike partnership.

Edin Džeko, Manchester City – £8.1m

Back from injury just in time to stand in for the injured Sergio Agüero, and the last time he had to do that he ended up firing City to the title.

Clearly enjoys being main man, but maybe see how he gets on against Roma in midweek before committing.

Papiss Cissé, Newcastle United – £5.7m

Might not start every game but that doesn’t seem to impact much on his goal-scoring – Cissé’s two goals against Chelsea made it 7 in 9 games for him, and we can see his movement posing problems for Arsenal this weekend.

Wilfried Bony, Swansea City – £8.4m

Another with 7 goals in his last 9 league games, Bony could prove quite the handful for an unconvincing Spurs side on Sunday.

Good luck and happy selecting!
