Let’s meet the ‘keepers!
Tim Howard, Everton – £5.3m
The Toffees are returning to defensive solidity after a troubled start to the season, keeping clean sheets in each of their last three home games in all competitions.
West Ham United may be flying high but their failure to score at home to struggling Aston Villa last time out is cause for confidence in a Howard shut-out.
Tim Krul, Newcastle United – £4.5m
Newcastle’s four successive wins have included three clean sheets, so don’t rule out another at home to Queens Park Rangers.
Having said that, much may depend on the performance of in-form QPR striker Charlie Austin.
Asmir Begović, Stoke City – £4.9m
As wildly unpredictable as Stoke have been this season, if they’re to keep a clean sheet at home then there game against Burnley in Gameweek 12 would have to be a good bet.
Fraser Forster, Southampton – £5.3m
Saints have kept four consecutive clean sheets and go next to shot-shy Aston Villa. Some tough fixtures coming up after that, though.
