Onwards, then…
Daryl Janmaat/Paul Dummett, Newcastle United – £5m/£4.1m
The Magpie’s run of four straight wins has included three clean sheets, giving cause for confidence in them repeating the trick at home to Queens Park Rangers.
Janmaat caught the eye with two assists in the 2-0 win at West Bromwich Albion last time out, while Dummett’s worthy of consideration due to his bargain price.
Be warned, though – QPR striker Charlie Austin is bang in form.
Leighton Baines/Séamus Coleman, Everton – £7.3m/£6.9m
They may be expensive, but their respective attacking threats aligned with the Toffees’ restored defensive solidity makes veritable points machines of the pair of them.
Baines has two goals and six assists already this season, making him the third highest points scorer overall behind Alexis Sánchez and Sergio Agüero, while Coleman has two goals and two assists despite only starting seven games.
With three consecutive clean sheets at Goodison Park in all competitions, we’ve plenty of faith in Baines and Coleman going into their game at home to a West Ham United that failed to score at home to struggling Aston Villa last time out.
Toby Alderweireld, Southampton – £5m
The Belgian has been a constant presence in a Saints defence that’s kept four consecutive clean sheets, so at that price he’s well worth a punt to take part in another at shot-shy Aston Villa in Gameweek 12.
Geoff Cameron, Stoke City – £4.2m
The US World Cup star is back in the Potters’ starting line-up and faces a home game against lowly Burnley next up.
Good luck and happy selecting!
