Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 38: Midfielders
With Liverpool and Manchester City set to battle it out for the title this weekend – and with home games against Newcastle United and West Ham United respectively – well, you shouldn’t need telling, but any of the following are advisable:
Yaya Touré (£10.4m), David Silva (£9.4m), Samir Nasri (£8.7m), Steven Gerrard (£9.6m), Raheem Sterling (£6.2m). Philippe Coutinho (£8.5m)
Right, that’s the bleedin’ obvious bit out the way. So, which other midfielders could help you on your way to a final day points bonanza?
Well, Tottenham Hotspur at home to Aston Villa makes a good case for £7.2m Christian Eriksen, given that he has three goals and five assists from his last three games at White Hart Lane.
Norwich City will be fighting for their lives at home to an Arsenal side with one eye on the following week’s FA Cup final, so £5.8m Robert Snodgrass could well be a hero.
Much may depend on the fitness of Aaron Ramsey – if he’s present, you might want to side with him and his fellow Gunners.
Everton’s £5.2m Ross Barkley helped his World Cup prospects with a wonder goal against Manchester City in front of the watching Roy Hodgson, so he’ll undoubtedly be up for sealing his place in England’s squad with another eye-catching display at Hull City.
With the Tigers also on the cusp of a cup final, Barkley could well profit.
