Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 37: Midfielders
Erm…Yaya Touré is BACK! The Ivorian sensation returned from his brief absence through injury to claim a goal and an assist in Manchester City’s 2-0 win at Crystal Palace, and there could be much more of where that came from in Gameweek 37.
City play twice this week, at injury-hit Everton and at home to a woefully out of sorts Aston Villa, so Touré could prove a wise choice of captain.
Bear in mind also that Everton’s Champions League hopes look all but over – and, of course, their presumed reluctance to see Liverpool win the league – and City’s trip to Goodison looks less daunting than it otherwise would be.
Manchester United also have two fixtures in Gameweek 37, at home to both Sunderland and Hull City, and we daresay that Juan Mata looks as downright essential as Touré does.
The Spaniard only came on as a second-half substitute in the 4-0 win over Norwich City but his two goals make him a near-certainty to start these games, which could prove richly fruitful for him/you if recent form is anything to go by.
Mata has five goals and two assists from his last three games against opponents lower in the table than United, so he too could prove a quite sensational choice of captain this week.
