That’s a whole heap of Fantasy Football tips right there…bargains, captain recommendation, the lot. Hurrah!
We ought to point out that our Fantasy Football tips are based on the official Premier League version of the game, but the principles should pretty much apply across the board.
Onwards, then…
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 19: Midfielders
Theo Walcott’s two goals in Arsenal’s 3-1 win at West Ham United looked to confirm a point-spinning return to form for the well-spoken forward-listed-as-a-midfielder.
His 14 goals and 13 assists in the Premier League last season are clues enough as to his ability to string together a sustained run of form, and yes we must find a synonym for ‘form’.
Speaking of form, Manchester United winger Ashley Young is another showing it – his reemergence into the business end of the Red Devils’ first team makes an appealing proposition of his £7.1m valuation.
Fulham just won at Carrow Road, for crying out loud, so you might fancy United to do likewise on Saturday, and Young to feature prominently in that.
David Silva’s return to Manchester City action continued to be fruitful, the Spaniard nabbing a third assist in two games and a third consecutive two-point performance bonus, if you can get your head round all that.
He’s managed four goals and six assists in his ten appearances so far this season, so we’re starting to consider him essential even at £9.3m.
City take on Crystal Palace at the Etihad so we’re lining up with Silva and Yaya Touré in the hope of an ample points haul between the two.
Don’t let us down, boys. Although however many City score, we hope Palace score more. Gotta keep this league interesting, eh?
Raheem Sterling again featured prominently for Liverpool, claiming an assist and very nearly a goal or two to go with the three he ‘notched’ in the Reds’ four prior games.
At £5m he is one of the outstanding bargains to consider for the second half of the season, alongside £5.2m Everton starlet Ross Barkley.
Southampton’s Adam Lallana and Newcastle United’s Yohan Cabaye continue to strike as solid investments at £6.9m and £6.6m respectively, while the Magpies’ £6.5m Hatem Ben Arfa looks to be finding form again.
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 19: Strikers
Southampton’s £6m Jay Rodriguez has 8 goals in 12 games going into the Saints’ trip to suspension-hit Everton, while his £7m teammate Rickie Lambert now has four goals and five assists from his last eight starts.
Norwich City’s £6.1m Gary Hooper has now scored 5 in his last 8, so keep an eye on his progress.
Arsenal’s £8.1m Lukas Podolski marked his long-awaited return from injury with a goal and an assist to go with the two goals he scored in his previous appearance, at Fulham in August.
The Gunners go to Newcastle United, where £6.4m Yoan Gouffran has scored in each of his last five games at St James’s Park.
So, you know, he might do it again.
