This Euro 2016 Fantasy Football tips Matchday 4 captains round-up, based on the official UEFA game sponsored by McDonald’s, is here to give you guidance in selecting a skipper for the Round of 16.
With all Matchday 4 fixtures taking place from Saturday June 25th to Monday June 27th, recommended selections include players from Wales, Portugal, Germany and France.
1. Gareth Bale, Wales (forward)
Currently the competition’s joint-top scorer on three goals, Bale has a great chance to pull clear against Northern Ireland – and, in doing so, take his country to the quarter-finals of the European Championships. Who’da thunk it?
2. Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal (forward)
Burst back into life with a couple of goals in the 3-3 draw with Hungary, and while he shouldn’t be expecting an easy time of things against tournament dark horses Croatia, he can never be discounted. He is, after all, CR7.
3. Thomas Müller, Germany (forward)
He may be yet to get off the mark, but he should still be something of a danger man in the last 16 tie against Slovakia.
4. Olivier Giroud/Antoine Griezmann/Dimitri Payet, France (forward/forward/midfielder)
The hosts have been distinctly unconvincing so far and face a potentially tricky clash with a Republic of Ireland side hell bent on revenge for that Thierry Henry hand-ball goal a few years back – but they’re still playing at home and have a side packed full of quality.
Good luck and happy selecting!
