When Mario Balotelli came on as a substitute for Daniel Sturridge in the 74th minute with the game tied at 2-2, many people seemed unsure of his ability to find the net.
So unsure, in fact, that they seemed willing to make various pledges of what they would do if indeed he were to score the winning goal.
