Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 4 captains round-up

This Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 4 captains round-up is here to give you guidance in selecting both your skipper and a handy vice-captain.

Recommended selections this week include players from Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

IMPROVE THE REST OF YOUR SIDE:

Sergio Agüero, Man City (forward)

It’s hard to look past a man who is invariably the most obvious candidate for candidacy, not least since he’ll be playing at home against Watford.

The newly promoted Hornets have been solid so far, stringing together draws against Everton, West Brom and Southampton, but it’s damn near inconceivable that they won’t be soundly beaten at a City side that’s scored 8 goals without reply in the first 3 games.

You might even want to consider using your Triple Captain button on Agüero here, with our only reservation being the fact that Watford have kept back-to-back clean sheets.

If you don’t have or can’t afford Agüero, Yaya Touré and David Silva look like good options too. Or, as an outside bet, how about Aleksandar Kolarov? If he can claim points at both ends of the pitch, as he did in the 2-0 win at Everton, he’ll reap you rich dividends.

Diego Costa, Chelsea (forward)

Yes, another obvious shout, but he looked to have regained his mojo in the 3-2 win at West Brom and might just produce a windfall at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Then again you might want to consider either of his team mates Eden Hazard or new signing Pedro, who exploded onto the Premier League scene with a goal and an assist at the Hawthorns.

So, as with City, options aplenty here.

Olivier Giroud, Arsenal (forward)

Scored twice at Newcastle in the second half of last season, although he might find Steve McClaren’s side a tougher proposition than the sorry Magpies side that showed up then.

Callum Wilson or Riyad Mahrez

Why not either of these guys? Bournemouth play Leicester and both of these players are pretty hot right now.
