Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 24 defenders round-up

Strengthen your defensive line after consulting this Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 24 defenders round-up.

Recommended selections this week include players from Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Sunderland.

MORE FANTASY FOOTBALL TIPS:

Patrick van Aanholt, Sunderland – £4.2m

The left-back has two goals in his last four appearances and an attractive set of fixtures in store, this weekend’s trip to a stuttering Swansea followed by back-to-back home games against QPR and West Brom.

Martín Demichelis, Man City – £5.9m

City are at home to Hull. Enough said, really.

César Azpilicueta, Chelsea – £6m

Chelsea are away to an Aston Villa side that hasn’t scored in six games. Again, enough said.

Héctor Bellerín, Arsenal – £4.4m

A rather bold pick ahead of the north London derby at White Hart Lane, but that’s some price given his impressive performance against Aston Villa last time out, not to mention the Gunners’ current run of three straight clean sheets.

Hello I want to get rid of either Terry or Zabaleta which one the I get rid of Chadli because I want to fit Eriksen in in midfield is that good please help me

  • eddie

Hi there I stuck on this question for a while should I take out Rooney for match against Burnley and then take 4 point hit get in Daley Blind for Game week 24

    • Jonny Abrams

I’d have taken Rooney out by now if I were you! LVG seems determined to stick with him in midfield so it’s shooting yourself in the foot to have him as one of your attackers, even if he does score against Burnley. Blind’s not a bad shout but his track record suggests he won’t score loads. Nice and cheap though and could definitely get plenty of assists.

  • eddie

Sorry that last question is ment for gameweek 25 coming up

  • eddie

so far my team is De Gea, Terry, Sakho, Wisdom, Di Maria, Hazard, Silva, Eriksen, Rooney, Kane, Cisse, SUBS Gusan, Taylor, Bertrand, Cattermole , I was thinking of taking a 4 point hit getting in Blind for Cattermole and someone for Rooney and play 3 – 5 -2 put someone in for Rooney like who then play Kane and drop Cisse to bench so if I get Blind. New Team would be De Gea, Terry, Sakho, Wisdom, Di Maria, Hazard, Silva, Eriksen, Blind, Another for Rooneywho and Kane Subs Guzan, Taylor Bertrand Cisse what you think

    • Jonny Abrams

Makes sense, although Wisdom is no longer first-choice at West Brom by the looks of it – Baird took his place at Burnley. Not having any Arsenal midfielders in there could set you back – Ozil, Walcott, Cazorla and Sanchez all better options than ADM and Silva at the moment, I reckon.

  • eddie

Should I get Blind and Giroud and play Kane and Giroud then up front and put Cisse on bench the I can play 3 – 5 – 2 formation let me know

  • eddie

so if I don’t have an Arsenal midfielder help get my team right then I was thinking Blind and Giroud can only afford 2 transfers can you help please

    • Jonny Abrams

Have you considered persevering with Rooney for one more game and bringing in one of Sanchez/Ozil/Cazorla/Walcott for Di Maria or Silva? If I were you I’d give serious thought to using both of your transfers on Arsenal midfielders, especially as the GW deadline for tomorrow is 19:30 so you’ll know their line-up beforehand and can rearrange your team accordingly.
