Mathieu Valbuena’s Marseille return was a sight to behold as the French star’s former supporters made their feelings about him abundantly clear.

The midfielder joined Lyon in the summer but was making his first appearance back at Stade Vélodrome following a transfer to Dynamo Moscow in 2014 after eight years with the club – a move which many fans felt was motivated by money.

The fans obviously continue to bear a grudge against the player and at one stage caused the game to be suspended for 20 minutes before play eventually resumed.
