The referee of a Kosovan charity match trolled a player by looking as if he was going into his pocket to pull out a card but instead brandishing tissues.

To the amusement of the player in question and others on the field, the ref then proceeded to wipe his forehead to sign off on the visual gag.

It came during a match that was organised to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Kosovo’s liberation from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Serbia in 1999 following bloody conflict.

Arsenal and Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka, who was born into a Kosovo Albanian family, captained one of the teams.
