A power cut turned out the lights as Marsa were taking a penalty at St. Andrews in the Maltese First Division, causing the referee to abandon the match.
Marsa were all set to take a 3-0 lead at the Centenary Stadium when the sudden blackout occurred while the spot kick was in the process of being taken.

Ref Matthew Degabriele first suspended the fixture before calling it off entirely, and it will resume from the time it stopped – 62 minutes – at a later date.
Santa Lucia vs Gżira United was also hit by the power cut but was able to carry on after the restoration of electricity.
