A Newcastle supporter was thrown out of the home end at Ipswich’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland after winding up the away contingent.

The fan, who was apparently allowed into Portman Road while wearing a shirt of Sunderland’s rivals, began to be noticed after causing a stir during the half-time break.

Although sitting with supporters in one of the home stands, the trouble-maker was soon seen “giving it the big un [sic] to Sunderland” on Saturday.

Eventually the man wearing the Newcastle United top was escorted out of the ground by stadium security staff to applause.
