Real Madrid salvaged an away draw on Sunday thanks to a late goal from Ronaldo himself, but the game wasn’t all plain sailing for the Portuguese international who had a bit of a confrontation with one of the Atlético ball boys.

When rather abruptly requesting the ball be returned to him, one young lad appeared to take exception to the Ballon d’Or winner’s attitude.

After a bit of posturing towards each other, the boy throws the ball to the ground past the player and leaves an unhappy Ronaldo to turn in vain to the referee for assistance in dealing with this delinquent.

The “fiercely contested” match ended 2-2 with goals from Koke and Gabi equalled by Karim Benzema and the ball boy’s nemesis, who scored in the 82nd minute.
