The parents of a blacked up Balotelli boy and a girl dressed as Raffaella Fico, who appeared complete with a doll posing as the new baby, have suffered widespread condemnation after the fancy dress pair were spotted at the carnival in Napoli.

In a photo circulated on Twitter, the children are seen in quite extravagant outfits.

The boy pretending to be Italian international Mario Balotelli is dressed in the full AC Milan home kit and someone could well be accused of ‘blacking up’ his face.

The young girl standing beside him sports an enormous curly black wig, white hooped earrings, a presumably faux fur coat, patterned tights and high heels as she holds a small handbag and the ‘baby’ wrapped up in her arms.

Just like the real Mario, former showgirl Raffaella and little one year old baby daughter Pia…
