The world-renowned “festival of contemporary performing arts” is perhaps a little close to pre-season for many footballers – but not for want-away Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and Marseille/Q.P.R midfielder/Twitter enthusiast Joey Barton.

They didn’t go to Glastonbury together though, in case you were wondering…

Festival-goers started arriving at the site in Somerset on Wednesday with the event officially kicking off today.

Wayne Rooney’s cousin, Claire Rooney tweeted a photo of the group posing by their helicopter upon arrival:

Although disguised in a blue raincoat and white baseball cap, you can see Wayne third from left and Coleen is fifth from left.
