I had the lump in the throat moment whilst stood watching Graham Turners message to the supporters, it felt like i was going to be part of something special. Ive heard all the brilliant stories from my dad about the ’79 side, and now we can talk about the 2012 side.

the guy is well and truly up there with Arthur Rowley as an all time town legend. I think the local Mayor needs to know come along with those keys to town, freedom of the town.

our final home match of the season resulted in a 2-3 defeat to Morecambe.
The midfield and attack comprised Simpson (junior),Dunfield, McIntyre, Leslie, Bright and Van den Broek.
Robinson, Gray and Bradshaw were available on the bench.
‘JakeyTorres’ is still looking for that elusive first goal of the season after 34 appearances.
Just shows how far GT has brought us in two seasons, and how quickly despair can turn to sweet success if you get the right man in the driving seat.

At the moment it really hasn’t sunk in with me that after 15 years I will be visiting different grounds! A great day but to be fair the best for me was the win at Stoke to get back into the football league.

I’d rank it above Stoke.
That was almost pure relief.
Today was something closer to joy!
