Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is still being an irritable prick, his wife has confirmed.

Following a 2-1 win over Burnley that saw Fernandinho sent off in the first half, Guardiola gave a post-match interview so stroppy that he only just stopped short of swiping a bowl of Heinz Spaghetti Hoops across the floor.

In an exclusive interview with Football Burp, Mrs Guardiola confirmed that at the time of speaking he was still being a total arse around the house.

She said: “I had to ask him seven times what he wanted for breakfast before I got an answer other than a surly ‘no me importa’.

“Then he asked for some French toast with a little powdered sugar, a side plate of eggs royale, a tropical fruit salad and a double espresso, so it’s clear his initial curtness owed nothing to a lack of appetite.

“He was just being a prick.”
