Leicester City were officially declared rubbish again in an official ceremony that saw Claudio Ranieri receive the dreaded vote of confidence.

Following on from last season’s shock Premier League title win, the Foxes’ dreadful form this season had hitherto been considered a blip.

With their amiable manager now dangling by a thread and relegation looming, the presumed blip has now been upgraded to a full-on reversion to type.

In a retroactive move, last season’s title win has now been reclassified as a blip – although this has come under fire from supporters’ pressure groups who point out Leicester could yet win the Champions League.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, Lester, a Leicester fan from Leicester, was adamant that his beloved Foxes were still in the midst of a blip.

He said: “Vardy and Mahrez, for crying out loud. Vardy and Mahrez.

“They’ll come good, I swear. We’ll win our last ten games and qualify for the Intertoto Cup.

“Is that still a thing?”
