Leicester City last night won an actual football match, with real goals and balls and everything, as they beat Derby County 3-1 to progress to the 5th round of the FA Cup.

The reigning Premier League champions had been in the midst of a ‘manager getting vote of confidence’ crisis, triggered by recent form so dire that supporters have ran screaming from stadiums in their thousands.

That was until last night, when they beat Championship Derby so soundly in extra time that fans were left questioning whether it really was a football match they’d just watched.

With a ball on a pitch and goals at either side, their answer was clear – it was [a football match].

Speaking to Football Burp, Lester, a Leicester fan from Leicester, declared himself an eyewitness to the event.

He said: “Yep, wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.

“It really took me back to the good old days of a few months ago. Halcyon days.

“Remember captaining Mahrez in your fantasy football team? How quaint that seems now.”
