Embattled Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has hit back at supporter unrest by announcing he plans to stay until he feels they’ve all been sufficiently trolled.

The Frenchman was the subject of banners and even a plane or two calling for his removal as the Gunners crashed to their latest humiliating defeat, this time 3-1 at West Brom.

And ArsenalFan TV viewing figures went through the roof as weirdo after weirdo lined up to air their “fam”-laced disgruntlement.

However, it seems all the unintentionally amusing outrage has only served to stiffen Wenger’s resolve to remain at the Emirates.

He told Football Burp: “I’ve listened to what the fans have to say, and my reply is that I’m in it for the long troll.

“We will win our final six or seven games to snatch fourth place, and then plan to replicate the last five seasons as closely as possible next year.

“Back in the day I was seen as quite the innovative coach, so it should surprise no one that I am now experimenting with condensing the experience of an entire football season into something resembling a meme.

“And it’s one I intend to keep s***posting the fans with until they’ve all learned to shut le f*** up.”
