Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s astonishing overhead kick for Sweden against England last night was the best goal ever scored this week, according to people.
People, excitable, were this morning unanimous in their conviction that Ibrahimovic’s goal, his fourth of the match, was without doubt the greatest of all time out of all the goals scored over the past week.
Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, the barman at the Rose and Crown was effusive in his praise for the ponytailed Paris Saint-Germain maverick.
He said: “I saw Adel Taraabt’s goal against West Ham United on Match of the Day 2, and I must have watched Oscar’s against Juventus on YouTube at least four times, but for me Ibrahimovic’s is better than both of them.
“I’d even go as far as to say that it supercedes Peter Crouch’s against Manchester City – the volley from last season, not the slam dunk from this season – and maybe even Luis Suarez’s against Newcastle United the other week.
“I’m completely serious.”
Ibrahimovic said: “It’s not even the best goal I’VE ever scored, innit?
“I’M ZLATAN, BITCH.”
