Heartbroken Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp says Wales boss Chris Coleman “never calls [me] any more”, not about Ben Woodburn or anything else.
Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, the inconsolable German bewailed the abrupt halt to a relationship that had never really got going to begin with.
He lamented: “We used to share so much, Chris and I.
“Well, that’s not entirely true – I’ve never actually met him – but even so, you’d think he’d call to say hi once in a while.
“You know, ‘How are you doing, Jürg?’, that kind of thing. My really close friends call me Jürg.
“He could ask me about my family in his dulcet Welsh tones. Ask if he can call up 17-year-old Ben Woodburn to the Wales squad. See if I fancied a pizza and a movie.
“I guess I just expected more of him. It’s fine, really, I’ve got other friends.”
He added: “But Chris is the only one who wanted to call up 17-year-old Ben Woodburn to the Wales squad.”
