They’re the FA Cup upsets that had everyone doing comedically exaggerated double-takes when they checked yesterday’s scores, and we can confirm that they’ve upset some cup holders.

MORE FA CUP FOURTH-ROUND:

The holders, cardboard, were being carried out of one of the many coffee shops that adorn our high streets these days when the carrier in question was informed that Chelsea and Manchester City had lost at home to Bradford City and Middlesbrough respectively.

At this point the cardboard cup holders were dropped in astonishment, causing the cups of coffee it had been holding to spill all over the floor which in turn caused at least three old dears to skid right over it and drop their groceries all over the place.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, one onlooker asked if we’d heard about the great FA Cup upsets that had just occurred and whether we also knew that Spurs and Southampton had both gone out at home, with Bolton holding Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

He said: “Mad, isn’t it? The way things are going we’ll probably see Andy Townsend holding the cup aloft come May.

“And I must say, seeing those old dears go arses over bosom, scattering their fruit and veg all over the shop, was quite the most hilarious thing I’ve seen in weeks.

“Hurrah for FA Cup upsets and upset cup holders!”
