Bristol City have offered to show Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola how to go about scoring with the ball used in Carabao Cup fixtures.
Guardiola was quick to blame the ball for his side missing chances in the 0-0 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, commenting “to score with that ball is a miracle”.
But Bristol City, who progressed to the 5th round with a 4-1 win over Premier League side Crystal Palace, have declared themselves ready to help.
Manager Lee Johnson said: “It’s actually not that difficult and I’m happy to walk Pep through it sometime.
“Much like other balls, the Carabao Cup ball is round – and if you stick it in the net then you get a goal, just like in league games.
“There are a number of different ways to get the ball into a position where one of your players can stick it in the net, and Pep probably has his own ideas on how to do that.
“I find it helpful to find a few different ways of doing it and then mix it up a bit.”
