These were the best Pep Guardiola jokes doing the rounds as Manchester City announced he will replace Manuel Pellegrini at the end of this season.
After winning 19 major trophies in just 8 and a half years as manager of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Guardiola will now get the chance to prove he can succeed in the Premier League.
It’s hardly an unexpected move, Guardiola having recently sparked a flurry of speculation when he announced his intention to take on an English club.
