The best jokes as Man City goalkeeper Ederson clatters into teammate Eric García

Guardiola: "I think after what happened, he may be in the hospital for one or two nights."

Manchester City defender Eric García was remorselessly taken out by his own goalkeeper when Ederson charged out of the area to meet a long ball from Arsenal with his head.

Poor, young García was treated for several minutes on the pitch before being stretchered off in a neck brace following the collision in Pep Guardiola’s side’s 3-0 win over Arsenal on Wednesday night.

In the second game of the night as the Premier League campaign restarted after the coronavirus break, the 19-year-old felt the full force of his goalkeeper – who appeared unconcerned about who he ploughed through in pursuit of the ball.
