Liverpool have announced the signing of Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk for £75m ahead of the opening of the January transfer window next year, making him the most expensive defender in history.
The club’s long-term pursuit of the player, who had thrown a strop after not being able to move earlier, finally appeared to come to an end on Wednesday with a stunning transfer fee involved.

I'm seeing figures of £75m for Virgil Van Dijk but once their Southampton club card points are used Liverpool will only pay £21.46
